Daniel Byrd (b.1994) is a painter based in Atlanta, Georgia who navigates through the formalities of painting with a systematic process. By incorporating a building block approach, he focuses on the abstract and repetitive relationship between contradiction and affirmation. With the use of a woven equation, Byrd creates a visual interplay where color and line intertwine, connect, and presume to stack on top of one another creating shaped works which break the traditional square and rectangle format of painting.
